Consider a donation to First Tee – Cleveland
Our proven curriculum is delivered through our year-round programs, school outreach and collaborative community partnerships. There are many ways you can support the mission of First Tee – Cleveland and help us bring the game of golf and its inherent values, such as honesty, respect and confidence, to local youth.
Our average participant fee of $75 covers only 7% of the total yearly individual program costs. We never turn anyone away due to the inability to pay program fees. To sustain this commitment, we rely on generous monetary donations.
First Tee – Cleveland is a private, non-profit organization with IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exemption status. The organization does not receive funding from First Tee® home office and is not a United Way agency. Donations from individuals, corporations, foundations and civic organizations make up the agency’s operating budget and keep our quality program growing and sustainable. Gifts of any size are accepted and welcome.
Your donation will help us bring our valuable Life Skills curriculum to even more youth. Individual donors, such as yourself, keep our quality program growing and sustainable.

Hard and Soft Goods Donation Policy
In an effort to ensure donated hard or soft goods are utilized to best impact First Tee-Cleveland participants, these are the guidelines in which First Tee Cleveland can accept donations:
First Tee-Cleveland WILL ACCEPT:
• New clothing. This includes men’s and women’s shirts, shorts, skirts, pants, outerwear, gloves and shoes
• New or like new headcovers
• Golf supplies including tees, golf balls, ball markers and repair tools
• New or like new golf bags with pockets emptied of trash.
• New or like new golf bags, and golf umbrellas; new golf towels.
• New and used golf clubs are accepted; however, we ask that the used clubs be in usable condition (no rusty clubs, no clubs with missing grips)
• New golf grips and/or regripping supplies
For health and safety reasons, First Tee – Cleveland is UNABLE TO ACCEPT:
• Used hats or headwear
• Golf clubs past their usable life (have missing grips or rusty shafts etc.)
• Clothing that is more than gently used
• Golf equipment that is not in working order (golf bags with missing parts or broken zippers)
• Golf towels that are more than gently used (heavily stained or tearing apart)
*Donations are accepted Tuesdays and Wednesdays from noon to 3pm or by appointment.
Charles Schwab Challenge Grant
Your gift can go further thanks to the Charles Schwab Challenge Grant. The challenge is to grow Donor-Generated Revenue (DGR) year-over-year, inspiring local investment and resulting in a deeper impact within each First Tee chapter’s community.
