More Than A Game Capital Campaign: Activity Center

In 2022, First Tee – Cleveland embarked on a capital campaign for a 12,000 square foot Activity Center adjacent to its Iris S. & Bert L. Wolstein Life Skills Education Center. This renovated space (previously a CMSD Science Building) will include:
– a large recreation area for year-round programming
– individual areas for learning and studying
– golf simulators
– a state-of-the-art kitchen for our Fit to a Tee culinary programs, and
– expanded meeting and office space.

Goal: $3.5 million — to support our efforts to expand education, leadership and golf opportunities for all kids.

We’re Growing

As one of 150 First Tee chapters, our chapter has grown tremendously over the past 20 years, and we’re in need of additional space. Our new partnership with Cleveland Metropolitan School District will deliver First Tee Life Skills programming to all K-8 schools by the end of 2024. That is more than 24,000 students! We also continue to add new Community Partners to serve even more urban youth.

We Need Your Help to Close the Gap

At this critical point in our campaign, we have raised commitments and funds totaling 90% of our $3.5 million goal. We’re excited to launch the public phase to close the gap and make this tremendous vision a reality. We are committed to expanding programming to serve kids throughout our city.

Please consider becoming a game changer. The most important investments we can make in our future start with our young people, and First Tee is uniquely positioned to impact thousands of Cleveland-area youth who uncover their inner strength, self-confidence and resilience through our programs. By being a First Tee – Cleveland game changer, you will provide support for the youth in our community to build strong character and instill life enhancing values through the game of golf using our proven activity-based curriculum. Join us as we embark on the next 20 years.
